Boot-Server

Was ist ein Boot-Server? Darauf möchte ich hier nicht direkt eingehen. Viele Antworten dazu können bei google.com unter folgenden Betriffen gefunden werden: „booten vom Netzwerk“, „PXE-Server“, „Boot-Server“.

Die Dateien für den Boot-Server können unter Ubuntu unter folgendem Ordner gefunden werden. 

/usr/lib/syslinux/modules/bios

Hier eine Liste der üblichen Dateien die in diesem Ordner finden können. Die gelb unterlegten Zeilen (Dateien) werden für den Boot-Server (PXE-Server) benötigt. Zusätzlich werden die Dateien pxelinux.0, pxelinux.cfg benötigt.
